Cory Asbury is a worship leader and songwriter who joined the Bethel Music Collective in May of 2015. Cory began leading worship at his local church at age fourteen, and from there launched into full-time worship ministry at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City in 2005.
Cory is known for his hit single “Reckless Love” that was nominated for a Grammy in 2019. His album by the same name hit the top of the charts as Billboard’s #1 Christian Album in 2018. Cory also won three GMA Dove Awards, two K-Love Fan Awards, and the ASCAP Christian Song of the Year Award. In addition, he’s received three Billboard Music nominations. “Reckless Love” was inspired by Cory’s journey into the depths of the Father’s heart through the birth of his first son and the near-loss of his first daughter. His newest single “The Father’s House” will soon emerge after his year-long sabbatical with his family. “The Father’s House” paints a picture of the delight and freedom that is found when we let all our burdens and fears fall off at the door of the Father’s house. Following this single, Cory’s new album coming June 2020 portrays the deep message of identity and sonship in a fun and energetic way.
Fueled by a passion to lead others into their own authentic encounters with God, Cory’s ministry is marked by rich spontaneous moments in His presence. Cory serves as a worship pastor and artist in residence at Radiant Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He and his wife Anna have four beautiful children—Gabriel, Lily, River, and Willow-Grace.
